Then I remembered the sassy little trick my violin instructor taught me when I was in grade 4.

"When you point a finger at someone, you're pointing three back at yourself."
Profound, I know.
Anyway, here I am, and here I blog.
There are a few things of note that have been on my mind over the past week and a half. They are as follows, in list form seeing as it's only at bedtime that I decided to sit and write a blog.
1. I have been sick. You might take that as an excuse as to why I haven't blogged, but it really only happened on Thursday, and continues as we speak, so I can hardly use it as such. I had a rotten fever on that day - the kind that leaves you sitting in a daze on the couch, adorable 1 year-old pawing at your leg saying, "mama" before her dad scoops her up and offers to read her a book, and that steals the energy out of every corner of your usually happy-to-be-energetic body, leaving you hardly able to put a sentence together. Yup, miserable. The fever is gone now, and I'm left with a two-day wait to find out if a swab taken of my huuuuge tonsils means "STREP" - eugh. I wanna rip the buggers out and post them on Craigslist. I'm also left with the nagging guilt from having forgotten about my throat (yay tylenol!) and having jovially requested a sip of my wee sister's wine today - which I kindly handed back, and which she casually sipped away at for the next 10 minutes before I chased her down to warn her that I may have contaminated her cup. eep!
2. Plava is getting SO CUTE.

3. My oldest sister who's currently doing her masters in London whilst planning her wedding is visiting for a week! (Thanks to an art show - See "Michal Tkachenko" in my links) GREAT ta see ya, Mic.
4. Ryan is just a marvy dada. I'm loving the weekends when we're all together.

5. Our brand new camera - the Canon Powershot S2 IS - is driving us CRAAAAAZY!!! We can't seem to figure out how to get clear, non-blurry images. I've read the entire manual, and tried what I think is every mode and feature it has to offer, and all it seems to want is for my little 1 year-old to "hold that pose". Come on.
6. Did I mention Plava is getting really cute? (if not more and more blurry?)

Glad to see you are back to posting, even if it is in a fever induced fog! I admit to checking your blog approx. 10 times per day, hoping that another 10 minutes of my mundane day will be used up doing things that really matter : )
Hope you feel better soon and that poor Plava will come through this fuzzy camera stage!
"Plava looks cute Auntie Laura. Maybe she will come over again to play soon. Does she miss Grandma and Grandpa like I do? It was fun when you came over with Uncle Ryan too."
....yeah, this fuzzy camera stage has been one of the toughest parenting challenges we've faced yet! HAHA.
Sorry you are sick! I had my tonsils removed in grade 8 after being sick ALL of the time. It was the best move ever! I wasn't truly sick again for four years! Amazing!
SORRY! I will post soon (tomorrow?)! It's been 2 weeks! I usually post on my lunch breaks, but my uncle is admitted to VGH so I have been visiting him on my breaks.
Also, both my work computer and home computer are ticking me off! The firewall at work is so "good" that it won't let me upload photos, and my home computer only lets me post in html mode... which I don't understand!
ARGH.....technology!
Hey Laura,
It's so cute to see these photos of you guys with Reesa... it DOES look like Ryan is a really good Dad.
Don't worry, too... not sick signs yet, and I don't plan on getting any. I'm glad you're feeling better now. I hope you get 100% well. I didn't know you had a fever... that's not fun at all... actually awful on the body.
Well, later.
Hi! Those pics are adorable. I know what you mean about bloggers slowing down a bit this past month... including myself. It just seems like, winter's coming, things are slowing down.... and what can I say? Life's been a little less adventurous these past few weeks! Not that I mind. Nice to have a break! Keep blogging - your blog is great and very popular.
