the game is on....

Yes, it is. And I'm writing a quick blog. I have been meaning to for a while now. I keep looking at the last post, sending my mental love to Sadie, and thinking, it's time to move on and write something good again. So here I am.

GO CANUCKS GO!!

I lied. It's actually intermission right now. Hence my computer moment here.

I have discovered, much to my annoyance, Facebook. Yes, it irritates and titillates me all at once. If you haven't heard of it, I hardly know what to say. Yes, you can connect with loads of people you haven't been in contact with in years. Yes, it's yet ANOTHER personal web page that you have to create all about yourself. Yes, it is fascinating to discover that someone you knew from one time in your life knows someone else that you knew in a completely different time. And yes, it lures you like chocolate covered strawberries sitting on a pile of whipped cream. You think about it, dream about it, and when you finally log on, you spend HOURS staring at it, searching for people you know with a dumb half-smile on your face.

Plava is giving me a run for my money lately. I don't know if it's me or her, but my patience has worn awfully thin with her lately. She's becoming much more boisterous and screechy and excitable and strong willed, and yet I seem to be retaliating with a smaller and smaller buffer before I am clenching my fists and gritting my teeth, trying not to say words that I don't want to hear come from her mouth moments later.

She's a gem though, and I love her to death.

A few observations of late:
1 - Peas pouring from the bag really have a mind of their own. ("you just try and stop us!!!")
2 - I'm sure our cat's name was Sylvie, but recently I've taken to calling her Plava's version: Sylfie.
3 - Watching hockey games alone, albeit wonderful, is not as good as with other people.
4 - I think our team must have just scored because I just heard honking and racket outside.
5 - I guess that means the game is on again.

See ya!
