I am learning a funny little lesson about....lessons. You see, as we do school at home, I am continually trying out different ways to teach Plava (and Pito, who is with us most of the time). I've tried sitting down at the kitchen table doing worksheets, watching simple lesson videos, reading books and writing about them, writing letters to far away friends, making games with toys that teach a lesson, but the thing I find that has magical "excitable" power, is none other than the white board. It may sound strange, but it's true! I pull out the white board and Plava says, "I LOVE doing school on the white board! Can we do EVERYTHING on the white board?"
I think I may have ruined things early on in the year because I thought I had to sit her down and get her to do math worksheets. Whoops! Little did I know, there's more to math than that....
I'm learning!!!

Very cool, Laura! Did you know that homeschool is not allowed in Brazil? Lucas is going to a Portuguese pre-school, so it's great to get some ideas of things to do at home with him since I have to keep "home schooling" him in English :)
