This is a big day, my friends. Today, I said goodbye to Facebook.
Why did I say goodbye to Facebook? Well, let's just say that in the name of simplifying my life (muchly inspired by a certain little book called "Simplicity Parenting"), I've decided that I am wasting away too much of my time perusing random photos and statii(?) of friends who I would either (a) not otherwise be in contact with, or (b) rather connect with in a deeper manner! That, and I'm tired of the creepiness of the following conversation that happens far too often:
Me: "Hi ! How are you?"
Long-Lost Acquaintance: "I'm great! It's been so long!"
Me: "Yeah! Wow! So what's happening in your life these days?"
LLA: "Well, I've just had my second son, and we're moving in a month so life is crazy, and I've been applying for jobs waiting tables, just for a little extra income."
Me: "Oh yeah, I saw all that on Facebook! Right on!"
LLA: "Yeah, and how are your three girls? They are so cute. I love the pictures you just posted."
Me: "Yeah, they're good. (smile)"
LLA: "(smile)"
(awkward silence in which both people are being reminded of just how many people are reading about their every move as they post it on FACEBOOK)
And.... scene.
SO, here we go! On to new things! Particularly, I'm looking forward to being more active on my bloggy here. And to connecting to people in a different way - possibly more meaningfully than before???
So say hello if you're stopping by. I'd love to hear from you and say hello back. And leave me your email address if I don't have it.
As for the rest of this post, it will be filled with the fun of our brand new iphone's "instagram" photos that we've been taking recently around the house and in the yard outside as the sun has emerged and spring has sprung! Enjoy!
Smiley sisters!
Why so serious, Pony?
Freshly picked daffodil....
Is there a monkey behind me?

CBC
Completely ironic!! Hah!
Yay! I said goodbye to Facebook years ago. Actually, Nigel made me do it. I only use it for marketing and replying to people who don't seem to use email anymore. So I guess I still do use it, but not much.
So with Instagram, can you post from your phone to your blog?
