Well, the bridal party was a blast. It was held in Coquitlam, and thanks to Marilee and Nancy's work (and were there others?), it was a great event! So many brides, let me tell you. How many were there.....20? 25? Amazing. There was champagne, a lingerie exchange (newly bought only....), a "guess who's ring is who's" game, a professional photographer, replicas of some of the girls' wedding cakes, and much more. I have to hand it to those girls - they know how to throw a party.
Plava herself was quite the party animal, crawling around in her pretty dress, saying "hiiiiii!" to the brides, demanding "KAKA!" (crackers) constantly, and trying to escape out the front door ("DO!"). She had a pretty nice time, I reckon, and her and I even got some photos taken of us by the photographer. We'll have to see how they turned out when they're ready.
For now, here are some of my shots of the party. Good times!

This party was definitely the PARTY OF THE CENTURY! I cannot believe the work that went into this, especially the beautiful wedding cakes Nancy made. This will be a great memory for years to come. Glad you and Plava could make it!
I wish so much that I had gotten a picture of the cakes, but I'm guessing Nancy has a couple...
Gee, I want to go to a retro wedding party and I am not even married yet! But I have the dress! Ha ha! What a good idea! That would be so fun and a chance to wear your wedding dress to two occassions in your life! Well, 3 if you count the next retro wedding shower that I want to come to!

Hey that looks like fun. I always thought that would be a great idea. I wouldn't fit into my dress now either.
Hey I'm glad Reesa had an occation to wear that dress!

Yes I have some pics! Stay tuned...blogger isn't letting me post them!
That party rocked!
That looks really fun, Laura, tell me more about the party, was it for former brides only?
Well, Adrienne, it was mostly for post-wedding ladies, but there were a couple "bridesmaids" in the mix. One girl who, like me, didn't fit into her dress came in a bridesmaid's dress, and the unmarried sister of the party thrower was also wearing one. It was so much fun!
You thinking of planning one yourself? :)

The retro bridal shower was a dream come true for me, when it was all over, I lay awake in bed thinking-I can't believe I had almost 30 brides in one place-that is so ridiculous!
