Advenutre #2
We headed home after camping, and a day later headed out to Whistler, home of the 2010 Olympics!!! We have done the Whistler getaway quite a few times now, and weren't so sure we wanted to do it again, especially with the little kidlets because it often seems like there are loads of things to do, but not for little kids. But we decided to follow Ryan's parents' plan and go up (a day later than them!) and have a ride up the mountain on the gondola. They've also recently opened the "Peak to Peak" gondola, which goes from Whistler Mountain to Blackcomb Mountain.
Same place, just the two other people on the gondola.
Plava was VERY excited about the gondolas and was so brave!!
Playing in the snow, in the heat. Weird and wonderful.
Plava was feeling so brave that she requested to go up on the chair lift with Ryan to the very top of the mountain. Ryan was more nervous than her about her being on a chair lift. :)
At the very top, Plava poses under the Olympic Logo.
(She was just about to start crying here because too many people were watching her.)
And while they were up on the top of the mountain, Pito was having fun with this guy.

Let me just tell you here, that I was completely unprepared for this. It's not as if I didn't know that the gondola went from one mountain peak to the other, but I just never gave a thought to just what this ride would be like. I didn't think about the fact that it would be VERY high and VERY terrifying. It was amazing, too, and beautiful, and breathtaking, but WOAH. WOAH.
Adventure #3
If you've been following this blog for a looooong time (and I commend you if you have, with my long absences), then you may vaguely remember THIS post. Well, because of Ryan's accident a few weeks ago, and our car being written off, we are in search of a new vehicle, and it just so happens that we're going to go for the Delica!! Aaaeeeiiiii!!! (It's the bottom one with the handsome guy posing with it in that old post). We are very excited because (a) they are really cool, (b) they are right-hand drive, (c) they are unique, (d) we can take one of these camping and actually sleep in the thing if we want to, (e) they are really cool. Did I mention they are really cool? :) Anyway, we're pretty excited. They also seat 7 people, which is great because then we can actually offer rides to people sometimes. Hah!
So, life is rather exciting at the moment!! :)
