falllll!

Have I ever mentioned that I love fall? Haha - what a joke. Of course I have!! Well this fall is no different, and especially lovely because we have just had a few solid weeks of beautiful autumn sun. It's raining now, and is supposed to continue for some time, but that just leaves me with a cozy feeling which enhances the love for fall!! I tell ya, this season was made with me in mind!

As halloween approaches we're getting the girls' costumes ready and they're quite excited! Plava will be a bunny, and Pito will be a cat. Simple this year, which is nice considering the wee baby in my belly is causing me to be rather achy and uncomfortable these days.

Speaking of said baby, Pito promptly named it PONY, which she was naming everything in sight at the time, so there we have it - another P name. Appropriate eh? So yes, Pony is about 5 inches in length from head to bum at this point, which seems SO HUGE to me, but it makes sense with how much I'm showing and how much I'm feeling! This kid is kicking up a storm! So much fun.

The girls are, as you might imagine, really excited. They have already started divvying up teaching responsibilities. Pito will be teaching the baby to crawl and Plava will teach it to walk. Hah. Pito is also sure that the baby is going to come out and say, "There's my big sister, Pito!" They're also both very excited to hold the baby, and snuggle with it, and sleep with it. Very cute.

What will three kids be like? I don't know. Busier, I presume. Many people say it feels like you lose some control because it's no longer an even parent to kid ratio. I don't think we're too hung up on control at this point in time though, so hopefully it isn't too shocking. :) (The actual experience may teach us that we are more hung up on control than we think though! Who knows?) Anyway, in short I'm pretty excited to meet this baby. I'm pretty excited to get through this pregnancy (it's merely a means to an end this time, man!), and I'm pretty excited about getting to go through labour and birth again, and then to have a newborn. Such a wonderful time! Hard too, but in my experience so far, wonderful. I'm lucky to have had healthy, mostly un-fussy babies too, which I am really thankful for.

So fall is in full swing. I'm already starting to think about Christmas presents and am playing carols on the piano already. My kids are definitely going to be sick of Christmas by the time it comes! Haha!!!

Well, happy fall to you all! Happy Halloween! Happy crunching leaves, carving pumpkins, and enjoying the coziness of warm drinks on cold nights!
